Secrets To Living Longer

Even if it's just another five years, people are always looking for that fountain of youth. Well, now there's an answer. It has nothing to do with a fountain, or a pill or even a liquid remedy that keeps you looking young. It's just a few simple habits to live by and you'll look, act and feel younger then you are.
There are areas all around the world called, Blue Zones where higher percentages of the population live longer lives. The people who live in these communities share similar lifestyles allowing them to be happy and healthy and live well into their 80's, 90's and 100's. These Blue Zone areas include Barbargia (Sardinia) Italy, Okinawa, Japan, Nicoya, Costa Rica and Loma Linda, California. These people don't do anything out of the ordinary to stay so healthy and live longer. Anyone can easily live the way they do.
Here are the characteristics that contribute to the long life-span of these residents:
- No smoking
- Alcohol – some people don't drink alcohol at all while others might drink some wine with their meals
- Moderate exercise
- Keeping family first – There is normally a strong sense of family with meals and daily events for both immediate and extended family
- Social activity with the rest of the community
- Healthy, plant-based diets – many of these residents are vegetarians, however, those that do eat meat only consume very small portions of poultry or pork. Diets also include fruit, nuts, and beans.
